When someone marks their status as “Paid” on the summary page, Splitbill.id requires them to upload proof of payment (e.g., screenshot of bank transfer). This ensures transparency and avoids confusion about who has paid.

What is the Add Payment Info feature?

You can add your bank account or e-wallet payment details directly in the summary. Other group members can easily copy–paste it when they need to transfer their part. This feature is optional but very helpful for group payments.

Can I edit members and bills after entering them?

Yes. Splitbill.id is flexible. You can:

  • Add or remove members
  • Add or modify items
  • Change prices or quantities
  • Reassign items to different people
  • Add more bills anytime
  • Everything can be updated before the final calculation.

    Can I share the summary?

    Yes! Splitbill.id automatically generates a shareable summary link that you can send to friends or group members. They can open the link, check their amount, upload proof of payment, and review the updated status in real time.

    What if an item is not assigned to any user?

    If an item hasn’t been assigned to anyone, the system will show a notification. In addition, the Next button will become unavailable until all items are properly assigned. This ensures the calculation is accurate and prevents missing items.

    How does the calculation work on Splitbill.id?

    Splitbill.id calculates each person’s share based on:

  • The total price of all items (manually added or scanned via OCR).
  • Which person is assigned to each item (single user or multiple users).
  • Any tax and discount that you apply.
  • Shared items are automatically divided equally among selected users.
  • Each participant’s total is generated from all items assigned to them.
  • The system ensures accurate and fair calculations without manual effort.

    Can I download an app?

    Splitbill.id does not have an official app on the App Store or Google Play. However, you can install it as a local app on your device:

    On the homepage, you’ll see an “Install” button. Tap it to add Splitbill.id to your home screen like an app.
  • iOS (Safari):
    Open Safari → tap the Share icon → select Add to Home Screen.
